A nagging virus forced undefeated Kermit "The Killer" Cintron, 19-0, 18 KOs, to pull out of a July 18th date with Mazatlan, Sinaloa's Jesus Valverde.
Boxing fans, rejoice! The hardest test of Cintron's young career is on again, August 29th, at a venue to be announced. TELEFUTURA will broadcast it as the main event of the evening.
Kermit's last outing aired in the final show of the successful Main Events/NBC's Saturday afternoon series; it reaffirmed his reputation as a big puncher as he was able to dispose of Luis Rosado, who came into the fight with a respectable 29-5, 20 KOs record, in the opening stanza.
Jesus Valverde is ready to challenge Cintron's punching power; the Mexican fighter has never been stopped in his career, and it is safe to say that he promises to be the toughest opponent Cintron has met to date.
Valverde's last outing was a hard fought ten rounder against Tokunbo Olajide in Las Vegas.
Can Cintron stop Valverde, a feat never before accomplished? Can Valverde stop Cintron, a feat never before accomplished? Tune in and find out August 29th on TELEFUTURA.
